| ASA Championship Now Observed Meet for Georgia Swimming

A reminder from an e mail last week about our championship
having observed status with USA Swimming. One important reminder, USA
Swimming changed their swimmer ID protocols this past year, all swimmer ID
numbers were changed this past fall. If you had your swimmer's ID numbers
in Swimtopia prior to this season, you will want to check and confirm their
ID numbers are correct, the old ID numbers are no longer recognized by
Georgia Swimming and times affiliated with the old ID numbers will not be
recognized as valid times when submitted to USA swimming. This does not
impact non USA Swimming club swimmers, but does impact current club
swimmers who would like to have those times be recognized. Reminders on how
to input those USA Swimming ID numbers are below.

I hope your seasons are progressing well. We are
excited about the upcoming ASA Championship at Georgia Tech, June
28-30. An added feature to this year’s meet is that the meet will have
observed status with Georgia Swimming. A special thank you to Georgia
Swimming and Heather Boyer for her help on making this a
reality. This means that any of your year-round swimmers with a
current USS registration with their club team will be able to use their
times for qualification purposes at the USS level. If you have
swimmers who fall into this category you must do the following before you
submit you championship entries for those times to be used for that
purpose.
Go to your Swimotpia Page and select People
Find the athlete you want to update and select them.
Click on the Edit button to add their USS Number
Please add their current USA Swimming number to their
athlete info in Swimtopia in the box for Registration Number.
Select Update to save your changes.
