2025 ASA Coach Certification and Background Check Reminders

Teams,

A quick update for everyone, we have been able to go through the last 2 years of coach certifications and have updated the list of coaches who have completed their required coach certification course and test. That list can be found at ASA Background Check and Certification Info. Coaches on that list are good to go for 2025 and just need to complete a background check for this year. Below are reminders about the process for background checks and coach certifcation along with helpful links and user codes.

As we have reminded you recently all of your coaches age 18 and older MUST complete the ASA Coaches' Certification Course every three years. And all coaches age 18 and older MUST complete a background check each year. This cost will be covered by the league. ALL coaches MUST complete a background check and provide the results to their team each season. Details on these programs can be found at ASA Background Check and Certification Info

Happy Season 2025!

At Summer League Swimming, we are looking forward to serving your teams this season. In order to keep the season running as smoothly as possible, can you please share the following information with your coaches:

1. Please make sure coaches create their own account (even if mom or dad is paying). The system will not recognize the coach if a parent creates the account in the parent's name. Each coach must have his or her own account with a separate email.

2. Please ask coaches to use their REAL names not “supercoachdapperguy2025”. It is creating a bit of clean up on this end and makes it difficult to assist coaches when they have an issue with the course.

3. Please remind coaches it is their responsibility to provide the certificate to the team reps. They log on and can print or download it again if they have taken it in the past 2 years.
